PrizeGrab Review - Randy Won On PrizeGrab

Welcome to your PrizeGrab review

Randy won $10,000 on PrizeGrab!, and so could you. That’s according to the Prizegrab.com website. It’s right there, big and bold on the front page.

When I looked at the Prizes page I saw that there was another $10,000 up for grabs in their free online sweepstakes, but that particular sweepstake would be running for 10 months more.

Don’t want to wait that long? Well, don’t worry. There are other prizes to win. Each with different time frames. There are gift cards from Taco Bell, Home Depot, Target, Nike, Burger King and Amazon up for grabs. There’s also a washing machine, 65 inch TV, cameras, Apple products, and a whopping $25,000 cash giveaway. So, what are you waiting for?

Hold up!

Before you rush off to PrizeGrab.com, I think you should really take a few minutes to read this PrizeGrab.com review. You just might learn some shocking truths. So take the few minutes and continue reading.

What is PrizeGrab?

Now that’s a great question, and the stuff that I found out is the reason why I’m writing this review for you.

PrizeGrab is an internet site that supposedly gives players who sign up to play on the site the opportunity to win money and cool prizes, totally free.Sign Up To Play PrizeGrab

It makes you wonder, if everything is free, how does this company make money? But let’s move on. We will come back to that later.

The company doesn’t actually operate a lottery or anything like that. What they do is online sweepstakes, offering the items mentioned above as prizes to be won. All you have to do is sign up to play, using your name and email address or your Facebook account.

If you’re going to be using your email address to sign up then you’re also going to be required to provide your date of birth and your zip code.  I should mention here that for those of us who think that PrizeGrab is one of those online scams this is seen as the very first of the red flags because scammers online tend to go after this sort of information.

Frankly, I’m thinking maybe the date of birth requirement is meant to find out if you are 18 years old or not.  But who knows.  I could be wrong.  Read on as I am going to tell you about the scam allegations in a minute or two.

After you’ve entered your email address and the other information requested you are going to have to check your email for  a confirmation link from the company.  Once you see that link click on it and log on to the company website.

That’s it you’re in.  Now that you’ve signed up you are ready to start playing, and supposedly, you can start to win prizes in the sweepstakes.

PrizeGrab was founded somewhere in late 2013 or early 2014, and so has been in operation for a few years now. Contact information for the company that can be found on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website gives the office address listed at:
548 Market St #77649
San Francisco, CA 94104-5401
U.S.A.

However, the contact address listed on the official PrizeGrab website is:
333 S. E. 2nd Ave., Suite 2000
Miami, Fl 33131
U.S.A.
Email: contact@prizegrab.com

Who owns prizeGrab

Who owns this company?

It’s not owned by an individual but instead is owned by another company who’s name is FunGrab.  Fungrab is a Digital Media company that connects consumers with brands.  This is achieved by providing entertaining ways for people to win real rewards and prizes.  Fungrab even states on its website that PrizeGrab is, in fact, its Flagship website.

How does it work?

Quite simple really.   To get started just go to the Prizegrab website and log in to your account.  Next, you click on Play Now, from there you are taken to the page with all the sweepstakes that are available for you to enter.  Click the words Enter Now below the one you want to enter and the website will take a few seconds to verify your credentials.

Probably showing you a few targeted Adsense ads or so while you wait, hoping to get you to click and buy something you like.  After the verification is complete you’re taken back to the prize sweepstakes page.  You will find that some of these sweepstakes allow you to enter multiple times.

Like you can enter 2, 5 or even 10 times to win on some of these things.  Increasing your chances of winning.

There are also contests on Facebook, giving you the chance to earn even more money.

How will you know if you win?

Winners are sent an email at the email address that they provided when they signed up to the platform.  So it’s important to use your best email just in case you win on one of the sweepstake prize draws you enter.

Apart from the email that is sent, winners are also announced on the winners’ page.  To find that winners page on the website you need to scroll down to the bottom of the webpage and you will see the link to that page right there among the other links.

Not sure why they didn’t put an important link like that at the top of the page.  One other important bit of information that I should mention in regards to your winnings.  You have 5 days to respond to the notification that you’ve won.  If you don’t respond in that time frame then you forfeit the prize you won.

Hmm, does that sound like a scam or what.  What do you think?

How to collect the prize you won?

If you’re lucky enough to win a prize on this platform, you’re going to want to know how to grab your prize.  No need to worry here.  According to PrizeGrab, you won’t need to do anything to get your sweepstake prize as your prize will be delivered to you.

You won’t need to pay for any shipping or pay any other expenses for delivery.  Your prize comes straight to you.  That’s the claim.

Who can join?

You can sign up on this site and take part in the prize sweepstakes only if you are 18 years or older and are a legal resident of one of the fifty (50) United States (including the District of Columbia), Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and any other U.S. territories.

What are the rules?

Oh yes, there are rules. Man are there rules.  Each of the different sweepstakes has its own set of distinct rules that you have to comply with.  See for yourself.  Click here.

What are the odds of winning?

I can’t say exactly what the odds of winning would be at PrizeGrab, but I wouldn’t think that they could be very good at all.  Not with the site getting a reported 1,776,098 web visitors each month.  That’s a whole lot of competition for those prizes.

Do you think you could be one of the lucky ones?

A PrizeGrab app

I’ve been looking all over for one that works with my Android phone but so far I don’t see any indication that there is an app for this company.  So for all you mobile users, I guess you’re just going to have to continue playing from the web browser on your phones.

Not a problem though as the website is optimized for mobile users.  Because of that, it looks great on mobile devices.

PrizeGrab blog

There’s a PrizeGrab sweepstakes blog that you can access right from the websites main page.  they use it to showcase the people they say have won and the stuff that they won among other things.  It makes for a great advertising tool for PrizeGrab and provides a good read.  Even though some of those posts seem to be pure advertising.

Compensation plan

There is no compensation plan as it is not a business or any form of MLM company.  So there is no compensation per se,.unless you consider the sweepstakes prizes to be compensation for the little bit of time that it takes to enter them.

Who is this program suitable for?

I would say that PrizeGrab is well suited to those among us who like to enter online sweepstakes and win free prizes, also for people who are trying to make money online for free.  Some people just have a liking for sweepstakes and will be very happy to try their luck on a platform like this.

The PrizeGrab User Experience

Users on the platform are subject to a fairly good user experience (UX).  The website is easy to use for the most part, and uncluttered.  it is easy to find the sweepstakes AKA prizes, the FAQs, the signup link and also the log in link.  These are very navigable and also easily located on the site.

The PrizeGrab User Experience

The process of entering any one of the sweepstakes is very easy and once you’ve entered the site automatically takes you back to the main prizes page.

Ads are tastefully displayed and unobtrusive.

As far as finding the necessary links are concerned the only thing I have to say is that the link that displays the winners could also have been placed at the top of the page for easy access.  Instead of placing it at the bottom of the page.  Basically in the Footer area where some people might not even think to check for such an important link.

Customer Support

At one time in the past customers of PrizeGrab had the option of calling a telephone number to have their issues dealt with.  Sadly, that option is no longer available today.

What is left for players on the site to use to have their questions answered and their issues resolved is the Frequently Asked Questions section, and if that is not enough to resolve issues then users can email support at the contact email I gave earlier.

I will repeat it here for convenience.

How PrizeGrab makes money

The company earns its revenue via several means.  Including the advertisements you see on the website and sponsored emails as well.  That’s one of the reasons why they capture your email information.  So that they can target you with these sponsored emails afterward.

Apparently, another way that this company earns revenues is from selling your email addresses and possibly other information to third parties.  This is probably where the bulk of their earnings come from and how they can be running such elaborate giveaway sweepstakes with such lucrative prizes to be won.

But of course, this is not stated upfront.  it’s there though, right where stuff such as this is always hidden.  in the fine print which most people don’t bother to read.  See for yourself.

PrizeGrab Sells Info In the Fine print

Click the image above to read about the sharing of your personal information.  These are the shocking truths that I mentioned earlier in this article.

My suggestion to users of this site and all others like it.  Create a new email account and use it only for programs such as these.  Do not use your regular personal email accounts, as there is a good possibility you will end up with spam emails.

Time for a verdict, but let’s make a list of the good and the bad about this program.

The Good Features

Possibility to win money.  Up to $25,000.00 currently

Easy website navigation

Been in business for years

Over $2 Million in prizes allegedly given out

Daily, weekly and monthly prize sweepstakes

The Bad Stuff

Your information can be sold

Huge odds, meaning you have to be extremely lucky to win

Some games run for 10 months

You have to claim prizes within 5 days time.

Possibility of spam

Only for US residents

No number to call

Conclusion:  Is PrizeGrab legit or a scam?

In my opinion, PrizeGrab is actually a legitimate business that offers us an exciting sort of money making opportunity whereby we can win prizes as well as win cash too.  But like everything else it has its’ downsides too.

The collection of personal information for the purpose of selling it off to make money seems unethical, but it actually does not look to be illegal.

PrizeGrab - Do Not Sell my Data

Luckily for us, there has been a law passed that now requires companies that buy and sell third-party personal data to get registered with the Secretary of State.  This has effectively brought a number of these companies out of the shadows and into the light.

Another good thing is that now persons are able to tell websites not to sell their personal data.  If you look at the bottom of the Homepage on the PrizeGrab website you will see a link there that says Do Not Sell My Personal Data.  That link empowers you to tell the owners of the said site that you deny them the right to sell your data.

Whether they heed your instruction or not is another matter entlrely, and for another discussion.

That’s it for my PrizeGrab review.  I hope I have been able to help you to determine whether it’s just a scam or actually a legitimate business.  I’ve told you my own opinion on the matter.

How about you give me yours?   You can do so in the comments section at the end of the article.

Before I close I want to share one final thought with you.

Hi, the Nice post looks like you’ve put in quite a lot of effort here.  I’ve never heard of Prizegrab before but it seems like a bit of a joke to me to be fair.  If you just think about the things that are more likely to happen.  Do you think they really have the 1 million-plus customers though?  I see some of these sites fabricate certain things.  If they do have all these customers maybe they are the real deal.

Prizegrab is real, I have many of my friends who are into it. I honestly did not understand how it works fully, so I was always skeptical to join, but from this article I can now see why it worth giving in much time, as my friends use to do. I now get the details of it  and I have signed up. Am hoping to win big.

Thanks for this informative Prizegrab review. This has broaden my view about the entire process, especially the way and manner the company also makes their profit out of it. Great work very informative. Thank you once again.

Prizegrab is an honest and real thing. The staff is great and they always come up with new ways to share Prizegrab’s great rewards.

I only played in a few sweepstakes so far, but recently entered for one of those big sweepstakes of $ 10,000.00.

I’m hoping that i win and i tell everyone not to give up playing because it is worth it. Thank you for this informative Prizegrab review. It has helped me to understand a little more about how Prizegrab works and how the company makes money!!
